El mes pasado, había hecho declaraciones similares después del incendio del árbol de Navidad de Plaza de Mayo, luego de una manifestación.
La escultura se encuentra ubicada en la esquina de la avenida Corrientes y Uruguay, y desde su inauguración a mediados de noviembre, miles de personas aprovecharon para sacarse una foto con los ídolos de la comedia nacional. La obra los representa sentados en un sillón, inmortalizando los personajes que hicieron en el programa No Toca Botón, Borges y Álvarez. Las personas pueden sentarse en el medio de los dos para tomarse una fotografía, de una forma similar a lo que sucede con la escultura homenaje a Mafalda en San Telmo.
Dos meses después de su inauguración, la estatua recibió su primer acto de vandalismo (sorprende que haya durado tanto). Pero Pugliese la arregló en seguida y ya se puede disfrutar de nuevo.
